It's not one of the best Seagal flick to date but it's pretty entertaining film from him. I loved the photography and location. MUCH BETTER than Seagal's stinker films like Fire Down Below, Patriot, Ticker, Half Past Dead, Foreigner, and Out for A Kill. Well I can't compare this film to Exit Wounds because I liked Exit Wounds better because of violence and more action. But I liked Belly of the Beast because it didn't have matrix-style action. Seagal has some funny one liners in this film. And it was well directed by a Hong Kong director. I hope that I can see Seagal can do better films in the year of 2004 but personally I think The Yakuza will rock. Seagal is still same as his acting career which disappointed me but not for this film because he had done more talking than what he did in his previous films. There's some good shootout scenes especially at the train scene and a big shoot-out at the near end of movie against the kidnappers while rescuing the daughter of Seagal and her friend. I strongly recommend for you to see this film if you're disappointed with Half Past Dead, Foreigner and Out for A Kill. I give it 9 out of 10.
